Kay's Brave Visit to the Vet

A heartwarming puppy adventure about courage

Kay the puppy loved playing fetch, chewing squeaky toys, and cuddling with her family.

But there was one thing Kay did NOT love...

The vet.

Every time Kay heard the car keys jingle, her floppy ears drooped.

“Oh no,” she thought. “Not the vet!”

One bright morning, Kay’s owner gently clipped on her leash.

“Time for your checkup, Kay!”

Kay slowly walked to the car, nervous butterflies bouncing in her puppy tummy.

When they arrived, Kay peeked through the door.

The vet office wasn’t scary at all.

There were colorful walls, smiling workers, and even a basket full of treats.

Sniff... Sniff...

Kay smelled peanut butter treats nearby.

A friendly golden retriever wagged his tail and said, “The treats here are amazing!”

Kay’s tail gave a tiny wag.

Soon, the veterinarian gently listened to Kay’s heartbeat, checked her paws, and gave her a tasty treat.

“You are one brave puppy,” the vet said with a smile.

Kay felt proud.

Maybe the vet wasn’t scary after all.

Before leaving, Kay even gave the vet a happy lick on the hand.

Tail wag. Tail wag.

On the ride home, Kay stuck her head out the window, feeling brave and happy.

“I can do hard things,” she thought proudly.
